Easy to attach to a tree, simply attach with ropes. I have seven 200 string lights on our 9 foot tree. I prefer the Flicker setting - it took me a while to figure out that I had to hold the mode select button for a few seconds to stop the light from cycling between all the options. Once I did that, the memory works to save my selection when the light has been turned off and on again.

I bought a bunch of these lights on purpose because they supposedly have a memory function to save the last setting. With these lights I decorated a huge wreath, made it flicker and hung it outside. The wreath is on the daily timer. Each day it returns to a setting where it cycles through all modes. I am so disappointed. Some modes make it look like a disco instead of a Christmas wreath.

I just got these bulbs so I haven't hung them on the tree yet and haven't had them long enough to say how long they last but I have such as various light displays (shown in the video). The knob is on the plug, so toggling between settings should be easy. I bought a clear line of light elsewhere but didn't realize the wire was white so this set had green wire to better match the wood. As long as I like them.

I really like these cute little Christmas garlands. While I really liked the lights that originally came with my 6 foot pre-lit Christmas tree, they stopped working and make a great replacement. They are really good but the 200 only covers 3/4 of the tree so I will be ordering more to finish the rest of the tree and make it fuller.
