Can't solve your problem

I got one of these after both of my original units failed. My car has 157,000 miles and the new keyless remote isn't even programmable. The seller wanted me to take it to a FORD dealership as they thought I hadn't followed the programming instructions. The programming guide is confusing, but it's not rocket science. With so many miles my problem may be with the wireless controller on the car itself. My locks work but not with the remote. I'm not going to spend a hundred dollars for the dealer…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Annoying

I like that it works exactly as expected and the instructions that came with it were very detailed on how to program it for my particular type of vehicle. (Ford Focus zx4 ST 2005) I would definitely give it a full 5 stars but two things I didn't like about this particular remote is that the panic button is mistakenly pressed too lightly, usually when everyone is in bed lol! And secondly, the range is still pretty bad, I get a maximum, I would say a maximum of 20, maybe 30 feet, and that's…

  • Don't waste too much time

I DID IT ! I programmed it myself!

I lost a set of car keys and was shocked at the price of a replacement. The lowest price I could find was $90 for a key and $130 for a keychain. I went ahead and made a $90 key and then ordered this bkank keychain hoping it would work but I'm pretty sure it would be a waste of time. The blank key fob arrived and I followed the instructions and nothing. Tried again and still nothing. Had my 15 year old grandson tried this and again no luck. Then I read the manual again and saw references to…

2001 Mustang GT Replacement FOB

Buy! Programming is so easy it will make you laugh out loud. I bought a 2001 Mustang GT that only had 1 key and a remote. I ordered this remote control and it arrived within a few days. First I had a second key cut and programmed by a local locksmith. Then I took the remote control and programmed it. Actually, let me rephrase that. After reading the instructions I asked my 14 year old daughter to program FOB. It was so easy that she laughed out loud. It lasted about 15 seconds. No kidding, it's

Lifeguard: Remote Starter

I bought this key fob to replace a damaged one. Luckily it came with programming instructions on how to set it up on my machine to make it work like one of the originals. I saved quite a bit of money buying this from Revain instead of buying and programming from Ford. My only criticism of my key fob was that the buttons felt like they needed to be pressed a little harder to work, but that's not taking a star off, maybe that's just me. ==Update== As of May 2013 this remote appears to have been…

Great replacement. It's easy to live without a key until you lose it.

Bought a used 2002 Ford Focus without even thinking about keyless entry. About two hours later (the first time my son tried to get in) to learn that there was only one keyhole on the driver's door made it more and more annoying to unlock the driver's door, reach out and press the release button or the trunk. Button. When I called the car dealer back, I found that they hadn't had one for a long time either. After some time of searching I came across a keyless key fob from BestKeys. Not only does
