Perfect fit for my 07 Pilot, quick, easy to install

My old power steering pump failed on my Honda Pilot '07 and kept making a loud howling noise. Installed and the noise is gone. Now the steering is easy. Only use original Honda power steering oil! There is a great tutorial video on Youtube by 1A Auto that gives easy step by step installation instructions. The installation process takes 20 minutes.

[Original Review] Fits 2008 Odyssey and works well

For the 2008 Odyssey I took a chance and went with this budget plan - a fraction of Honda's OEM parts cost and as of September 2019 it's good. , I saved on this part but used original Honda fluid :) This power steering pump; - screwed on immediately and no modifications necessary, as is sometimes the case with cheap parts. - Works as expected with no unusual noises. will update this report once the pump fails or if prolonged use proves the value of this item. Thank you for reading. Happy DIY!

Great looking product

I had 3 problems with the car and this only solved 2 of them. Hose - replaced, no more leaks3 Heavy steering wheel at low and medium idle. NOT FIXED This pump does not seem to have the correct pressure required to function properly in my vehicle. Is it better than what I had? YES, which I think is fair for 3/5 stars overall. It was tempting to return it but looks like it's another job that I need to redo and just can't wait for a replacement part to arrive after sending this one back - myโ€ฆ

Solved my power steering problem.

I have a 2004 Acura TL with 237,000 miles. I installed this pump about 10,000 miles ago and it still works great. My old pump had problems with "cavitation", which means air getting into the pipes from somewhere. I replaced all the o-rings and soft lines (which were no longer soft due to age) and that didn't solve my problem. So I set out to replace the pump. Installation only took about 30 minutes from start to finish, it's a fairly straightforward process and can be done with limitedโ€ฆ

I was hoping but disappointed!

Installed on my 2006 Honda Odyssey. It was EASY and pretty quick to do if you had the right tools. I bought it to whine and "whine" as I run - you know - it wears out! There was also a small leak so I lost fluid but even with the fluid loss and the full tank it will still whine. I bought this and after installing it was still whining and sounding about the same. No problem, I thought, maybe he just needs to get used to it a bit. Well here we are 4-5 weeks - and nearly 3000 miles - later andโ€ฆ

Fast installation. Works perfectly. Good price

My 2009 190k Honda Odyssey needs a new HP pump. At idle there was almost no help. So parallel parking was a problem. Hitting the gas solved the problem a bit, but it's useless when you're trying to park the car clean. What I really like about this car is that it is NEW and not reconditioned. So - there is no return of the kernel. I've read reviews of other products that have been rebuilt and they still had the issue of not helping at idle. In most cases, remanufacturing replaces the bearingsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not bad but...

This product is great. I've been using it in my 2010 Acura MDX for two weeks and it's a significant upgrade over the OEM power steering pump that was in my car. I have a mechanical mindset and have watched several YouTube videos on the installation process. Installation was generally straightforward, but - this is the only caveat in my review, and it pertains to the installation, not the product - you will need a serpentine belt wrench for this old Acura MDX (I'm sure this is for valid forโ€ฆ

Fits perfectly and so far so good

I have a 2009 Honda Odyssey EX-L with 210,000 miles on it. Last year I had the courage to do some car repairs myself as the car is obsolete and nearing the end of its life. First it was automatic doors, then brakes and rotors, and now power steering. The power steering has been making noise for a few years, but only in winter. I started searching YouTube and found a video about replacing just the o-rings at the high pressure hose connection to the pump. I did this and it fixed the noise for aโ€ฆ
