I wanted to love this so much. The pros are that it is bright, the middle light with the adjustable settings is really great for an emergency lantern or camping. The con is that it seems like the top bright light never turns off and the SOS only works occasionally. Charging is quick and it will charge a phone, but the charge drains quickly because the top light remains on.

I'll be honest I thought this was a lithium powered lantern like the others we have, but it accepts D batteries. I actually ordered this while our power was out and we only had one lantern available.It's pretty compact but seems well thought out. It has a handle on top, but also has a recessed hook on the bottom to be hung from something. A few simple buttons and that's all you need.We're probably not going to take this camping but as an emergency light, it will work fine.

The modes for the lantern are fairly easy to figure out. Long push for flashlight / Short push for lantern mode.However, there is no battery indicator to let us know if the device needs to be charged soon. The instructions say to just top off the battery level every time. The "mixed" mode (daylight + warm light together) is the same as just using "functional" mode.
