🦎 Versatile Reptile Heat Lamp Fixture: Clip-On, Rotating Stand and Flexible Clamp for Ideal Habitat Lighting and Heat Review

Bought on March 20th and broke yesterday. When attached to the tank it literally fell apart, the bulb hit the rock in the tank and exploded. Cannot contact anyone from the company.

This would be great for a reptile kept in an aquarium cage. I needed a guinea pig. It doesn't stick to the cage I have so I had to improvise. It works great though and I'm keeping it.

I use these to light and heat my parrot breeding flock and these bulbs are designed for a heavy duty ceramic socket and built in switch, all is commercial standard! A very good lamp that I am sure will last many years longer than any other!

Half of the flared connection broke off the first time I tried to move the connection from its collapsed position in the box. It's probably a combination of cheap materials and faulty casting for a cast metal joint. When it broke it also cut through the cable's insulation so I don't think I would trust a replacement block as it is unsafe to use. I will look for another product.

I use this lantern over a bearded dragon tank. I have a few other lights above the tank that my lizard needs, but I wanted to add more daylight. So I use this lantern to put in a regular lightbulb. I needed a clip as I needed to attach it to something other than the tank. It works great, the clamp is tight and works well. I did not find any negative points in it. I would order it again if needed.

This lamp definitely works! almost too good! I bought this for the chick brood we have and the lamp was probably too hot and intense for them. I put in a red heating pad and after a few minutes the lamp body was very hot! I just felt it was too much heat for the chicks and sadly had to return it BUT I can see how this would work well with a reptile as it puts out a lot of heat in a small area! I just didn't want to risk overheating the chickens!

This is a relatively well made metal shade lamp that will work well with any standard incandescent, incandescent or UV lamp. I bought this to use solely as a secondary heat source in our turtle terrarium as it gets cold here at night. The clip function is handy because it allows me to move the lamp to exactly where I want it. The only concern I have (as evidenced by the 4 star rating instead of 5) is that the clip, being plastic, will eventually snap and break like most others. I would happily…
