It will damage your printer! Stay away!

I purchased three spools of this material to print respirators for local medical and emergency workers. Towards the end it started to print oddly, but I ran out and switched to another brand (limited by what's available as well as purchase restrictions during this pandemic) and I was chasing all sorts of under-extrusions, layer adhesion, temperature variations, and missing layers the last weeks. I had problems with layer adhesion when printing. After the first few prints, I also noticed that until you print thicker walls, the print becomes a bit translucent. All of this was inconvenient, but I was able to explain it in the slicer settings. The real problem arose when the threads started to…

No, terrible experience with this stuff.

Let me first say that I am a big fan of the 3D Solutech brand PLA. I've been using it for a while now and it's the only brand I buy. I've found it to be excellent quality about 99% of the time with very minor issues that are extremely rare. It's always well packaged, never dry or brittle and of the many reels I've bought only one had a factory winding problem and I had to unwind and rewind it to untie the knots. otherwise it was flawless in every color. so far. I just received a gold roll and…
