LS / LT Harmonic Balancer Install Tool. Compatible with all GM LS & LT series engines 1997-current (Gen 3, 4, & 5). Upgraded bolt strength is 12.9, and one end has a Hex head smaller than the bolt diameter, which is easy to install and remove. The 2 small washers are: 16*40*5mm, 16*45*4mm, they are pretty strong. The nut is a custom heightened nut, which is twice the normal nut. It will be easier to twist with a wrench, and the wrench will not easily fall off. Not for Sierra 1500

This product does not fit for Sierra 1500 2006, please make sure it fits. It's too big. The price was good, but unfortunately not suitable for this truck.

Rescuer! - Replacement parts

Good workmanship. It worked great on my 06 5.3 Silverado. Apply some lubricant to the bolt before use. It's better to pay $40 and up for another setup that I don't need for my car.

The threads were damaged.

The threads were damaged so I had to install the tool using the back of the handle to screw it in. Besides, he worked for it. I then had to use a vise to loosen the screw to get it out.

Check out the themes first!

The idea is easy to use, the only problem was that the thread was damaged and the main bolt was bent! I'm sure this didn't happen at the time of delivery as the packaging wasn't damaged. I cleared the themes after about a few hours of completing the themes and was able to install the Harmonic Balancer. Suitable for 1 use

Works great for me.

Only used twice on my Chevy 5.3 so far. It worked great both times. I understand that with prolonged use this may not last, but any bolt and nut that is constantly tightened to the maximum will fail due to the stress on the metal. Luckily, it's affordable enough to buy again and still save money.

Fits Harmonic Balancer

Works well but definitely needs a 24mm (OR 15/16″) deep socket to make it lighter Hex end makes it easy to keep the crank from turning, when tightened with a wrench.

Need a large 24 spanner or an extra long socket

This item must be delivered with its own LONG rosette! I coped with the task only with a key of 24. Standard long nuts are not suitable for this. I'm not sure if you can buy a head long enough to stay on the head of the screw when screwing it in. Also add lube between the surfaces and it worked great.

Improved design is an added value! Works for LS1

I used this to install a harmonic dampener on my LS1. Instead of the zinc plated washers that came with it, I used a thrust bearing. A large amount of anti-seize was also applied to the threads entering the crankshaft head and the threads followed by the drive nut to prevent seizing. The tool worked great! The improvements they made over the previous version helped remove the threaded rod from the crankshaft!

Does the job and works for every combination I can think of.

It definitely serves its purpose. I liked the hex end option for removing the bolt from the crank, but it's not really necessary as it came out by hand when I was using it. If I could use an open-end wrench in my application, it would be very handy to hold the bolt so the motor doesn't turn while the tool is in use, which is why I like it. This makes the bolt a bit longer than necessary as my deep head bottomed out during installation just before I pulled the pulley all the way out even with…
