Sounds surprisingly good for a Ram Air Kit

Arrived quickly. Photos and videos are attached. One piece was missing but KN replaced Saturday evening priority delivery. If you issue a CEL, make sure to reset your KAM after clearing the DTCs by following the procedure below. It is best to do this before running it after installation.1. Disconnect the battery and turn on the headlights. Leave on for 20 minutes. This will unload all the power of the computer.2. TURN OFF the headlights. Connect the battery.3. Switch on ignition (do not start).

Previously simple assembly

First comments 28.08. Received and installed on a 2019 F150 3.5 Turbo in about 1 hour. Some observations that may have helped speed up the process1. There are no instructions for removing the temperature sensor in the original tube. Finally realized that this is a twist off.2. There is no indication as to what to do with the blue o-ring on the sensor when installed in a new socket. I had to remove it because I couldn't install it with the o-ring in place3. The OEM had a clamp to hold the…

P04db Crankcase Alert for Ford Raptor 2017

I bought CAI and installed it in Ford. After about 1 month I got warnings and the check engine light went on and off intermittently. After looking at the Ford forum and going to the Auto Zone to verify the warning code as P04db, I saw that other Raptor/Eco Boost owners were having the same issue. It was only when I contacted the Revain dealer and he suggested I call K&N directly that I saw that he had a "solution" to this problem. I should be getting this part next week and if it fixes the…

Terrible, daily error codes and little per gallon, brand new truck

Terrible! MPG Half stock lost, averaging 23mpg, now I'll be lucky if I get 12mpg. The truck is a 2020 F150 3.5 Ecoboost, bought new and has less than 4K with a k&n air filter. Fault codes and engine light check from the start, double disconnect and recheck the installation and a Ford certified technician looked at this and said everything is hooked up correctly and we are sending it back to the warehouse. Don't buy it, you will regret it the same day. I drive every mile on the freeway and it's…

Waste of money good for ram air kit

I don't know if I've ever given a star before, but when you're spending close to $300 on something you can't use, it deserves a rating in stars. This trick makes your truck throw codes. The code I kept getting was for the crankcase ventilation. I have a blue driver so I can read and clear codes because this code kept coming up every week. After several trips to the dealer (and replacing the crankcase ventilation sensors), the dealer informed me that Ford wanted me to send the original intake…

Looks good, sounds great, but that's about it.

Installed this kit on a limited edition 2018 Expedition. It was easy enough to assemble and install and it definitely made the engine sound a little angrier. I also hear the turbos much better. Added bonus: I've had the kit installed for almost a month now and the check engine light is out. Overall it's a good product and seems well built, but I think it's overpriced and here's why: First, I don't notice any increase in performance or fuel efficiency. If so, they are pretty marginal. I think to

An important addition to my 2019 F-150 Lariat

A few years ago I installed a K&N cold air intake on my car (Mazda 3 GT-S) after driving this car for several years. Immediately I noticed an increase in "spikyness" in the car, an increase in gas mileage and a "growl" of the engine, especially when accelerating. When I bought a new Ford F-150 Lariat, I checked if I could expect similar results by adding K&N CAI. I had only had the truck about 2 weeks when I added it so the OEM air filter looked brand new. when I took it out (does anyone need…
