Looks good, sounds great, but that's about it.

Installed this kit on a limited edition 2018 Expedition. It was easy enough to assemble and install and it definitely made the engine sound a little angrier. I also hear the turbos much better. Added bonus: I've had the kit installed for almost a month now and the check engine light is out. Overall it's a good product and seems well built, but I think it's overpriced and here's why: First, I don't notice any increase in performance or fuel efficiency. If so, they are pretty marginal. I think to get the most out of this kit you need to set up your computer as well. Second, the gasket material that comes with the bottom air intake mounting kit only fits 2 sides, not all 4, and it doesn't. Even if it goes to the sides, it goes further to allow hot air from the engine compartment to get into the air filter. Also, the brackets that attach the OEM airbox clips to the K&N airbox bracket (or heat shield) are simply cut out of the box and bent down, making large holes for, you guessed it, hotter ones leave air. I have a feeling they could design a much better heat shield for almost $300, I mean even the stock airbox is more or less sealed. There's a gasket at the top of the heat shield that goes all the way around and effectively seals the top when you close the hood, but what's the point if hot air just comes in from the bottom? Last complaint, my first order never showed up. . After about 3 weeks I was able to request a replacement and to Revain's credit they gave me a $5 credit toward my next order. The replacement still appeared more than 7 days after it was promised, so I don't know how the delivery of this particular product is. Oh I lied, this kit has another downside. This is not CARB compliant. So when the FIPK version comes out, you'll probably have to pay about $50 extra for the CARB decal kit. Overall I would buy it again just because I can and it looks and sounds really good. Pretty cool.
