easy parts upgrade

While I'm not sure how much my mileage has increased, I've had 3 upgrades in the same week with new ones Tires installed, the cooling air intake and edge tuners. Together they increased my highway mileage on my 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD from 11 mpg highway to about 18 mpg. Installation was easy and over time even a 1mpg increase for this upgrade would have paid for itself.

Increased MPG - Replacement Parts

Increase 1/2 Mpg. According to the specs, that was all it needed to give, so it's working as expected. I used to get 14 mpg on my 2006 Chevy 2500 6.0 liter (265,000 miles). Get 14.5mpg now, wow! In the end it will pay off. Read the installation instructions. I had to make some adjustments to get a tight fit. It fell off the first day I walked with it, no problems since.

Amazing product in filters

Worth every penny. Be careful before cutting the fan cover, it may not be necessary. I was almost ready to cut mine and tried again at different angles and finally found the right one that fitted the throttle body perfectly and I didn't have to cut anything. Installation took 15-20 minutes from start to finish. I have a 2006 Silverado 2500HD with a 6.0 liter petrol engine, I got about 1mpg but every little thing counts!

Gas Mileage - Parts

I was hoping to improve gas mileage when towing my 23ft RV, nothing changed but it worked as advertised, my RPM dropped 300-400rpm while towing my RV. When going up a steep hill, my 2005 2500 Suburban doesn't go from 2100 rpm to 4200 rpm. It ramps up from 2100 to 2400. It's in tow/haul mode, so revs down and helps with shifting and power. It sucks in a lot of air.

Throttle body sucks air audibly. Complements the Gibson headers and Borla exhaust header on my Chevy Silverado 2500HD '03. I immediately noticed the ease of pedaling as my engine is now breathing really well. I also chose to purchase a dry loader pre-filter to protect the filter from moisture and the filter itself from having to remove dirt from the crevices. You need it. No cutting required. The Check Engine/MIL light did not come on.

Installation of the 57-3031-1 system was easy and did not require modification/cutting of the factory fan shroud as instructed. You'll hear a raspy difference under the hood even if you don't have many mufflers in the back. The factory whistle is almost silent, and hanging from it is a giant dingle berry, the size of a shoebox. You will definitely free up space under the hood, buy a Dingle Berry Pull.
