Highly recommended! good for filter

After installing it on my 2012 Nissan Xterra, the engine woke up with more torque and response. It also has a nice growl when you step on the gas! My only criticism is that one of the brackets had to be drilled to fit a mounting screw, but other than that the installation is easy.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Ok for the most part, but...

Improved sound good for filter

I got this for my 2011 Nissan Xterra and I can tell a difference in performance and sound. It's still fairly quiet at lower revs, so you won't disturb your neighbors until you hit the gas. One star deducted because of the price. If you look at the product you will see that it is a large plastic tube connected to a larger filter. It can definitely be a lot cheaper.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative gift

Clear increase in performance / mpg increase! Love it

Love it! Installation took 30 minutes from start to finish, very smooth and easy! I definitely noticed an increase in power, I liked that pedaling sound at higher revs. I gave 4 but wanted to give 5 stars. I took off a star because I would have liked to see a slim piece sticking out of the intake pipe that mimics the stock intake a bit more. Also, it's a perfect A+. It installed in my 230k 2007 Nissan Pathfinder and now it's like a kitten!

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • No instructions

Performance and sound you can hear and feel the airflow!

Works great I can feel the difference in performance. It also made my truck sound louder and meaner, especially when cruising at high RPMs. It also enlivened my magnetic currents, everything works together. I got my fluxes first, now K&N and they sound really different. That's the sound I've been looking for, next is the headlines. If you're looking for an honest review I'll tell you I've looked for other air intakes but I'm glad I chose this one, it does the job, you won't be disappointed, you

This cold air intake system works like a champ

This cold air intake system works like a champ! I installed this on my 2006 Nissan Xterra and love the sound the engine makes when installed. Installation was very easy and fun. I don't have much experience with cars but the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I had no trouble installing this myself. As for the supposed MPG improvement, I haven't found any improvement. I average about 16-17 mpg city and highway. When I really step on the gas, my Xterra sounds awesome, but it's…

Rattle! Terrible recording mount!

I have had this air intake on my Xterra for two years now and after repairing it I decided to write a review. I will say it sounds great at higher rpm and the filter to clean is good. In terms of fuel economy or extra power I didn't notice much, maybe a little after 4K. The reason for the two stars is because the thing rattled like crazy. Every pothole or bump in the road and the filter rattles up and down against the intake and fender. The bracket where the intake goes through the airbox…

Wow. just wow. Increase mileage and performance.

I'm amazed at the difference this one change has made. My 2010 Frontier LE 4x4 always felt like it was lagging behind in power and mileage. It's not so bad now. I note the lack of a powertrain mount and I'm sure my old intake wasn't the most efficient, even with a K&N filter, but I immediately noticed a difference in horsepower and mileage (as long as I made a conscious effort). convince him and don't overdo it). In short, it's worth it. A little louder, but I don't find it unattractive. A…

Well designed and legitimate performance gain

This is a well designed kit, I particularly like the design of the heat shield with its shock absorbing seal. I was a bit worried when I saw another review that talked about rattles as non-OEMs can spread bad reviews. I was also concerned about the installation as Revain Garage stated it would not work on my 2009 CrewCab, Short Bed, 4x4, 4.0L Frontier. I took a chance since the 4.0 Xterra/Frontiers are mechanically nearly identical in their respective release years. I took my time with the…

OEM quality, K&N performance.

There are a variety of air intakes on the market for most vehicles. When I bought my new Nissan Xterra Pro-4x, I knew that if I was going to buy an air intake for "fuel economy" and performance purposes, I could buy it ahead of time, so I installed it after about driving it 3,000 miles. , usually immediately after the first burglary. K&N is a company that designs its products as an OEM but actually improves performance. First of all, an air intake does not turn a car into a racing car or a…
