The tailgate lock was a direct and easy to install replacement for my standard non-locking lock. It took about 15 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. The programmable lock, which allowed me to use my standard key, worked great and was a huge relief from the other key on the old fob.

I stumbled across this product and the reviews seemed good so I bought it. Installed it on a 2008 Chevy 2500 and the look and feel was identical to the stock tailgate latch. I ordered a ton with this item, I wanted my truck to be secure. I've read a number of reviews of trunk locks and I'm glad I didn't "save" on the purchase. Installed in 20 minutes, the instructions are good. The best part is that you don't have to carry another key, insert the ignition key, turn it 180 degrees and you're good to go.
