Not what I expected

So this product had a dent. In fact, he was bent. To avoid the hassle of sending it back I just straightened it out as best I could and used it as is, but as you can see in the picture there's still an ugly bulge. Spring.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Ideal for sealing train doors

This seal did an excellent job of keeping drafts out due to the large gap under my apartment door. The door already had an identical looking weatherstrip, but in this version the weatherstrip is much wider to close it off at the floor. Installation only took a minute.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

This item was defective and could not be installed

Even before I installed this it was defective, half was hard and not flexible, the other half was flexible so it can't install once. Since this item has a lifetime warranty, I plan to contact the manufacturer for a replacement. Let's see if they honor that guarantee. I've never had a problem like this. I've installed hundreds of these things while working as a handyman for a real estate company.

Pros
  • Aluminum reinforced rubber makes for a rigid seal
Cons
  • Not sure

Works exactly as advertised

I have two 36 inch doors to my glass patio. Both doors have gaps at the bottom large enough to let the anole through. I bought them as a replacement. As you can see from one of the photos I had to use scissors and cut the rubber piece on one of them. I cut a corner on one of these because the bottom edge of the door wasn't parallel to the pavement. After cutting, I drilled new screw holes and screwed them to the door with the screws provided. The old screw holes from the original door trim…

Pros
  • White finish
Cons
  • Some small things

Pick up a pair of quality sheet metal cutters for $18-$27.

You are amazing. It sucks. I found I could cut them with metal snips or wire cutters. And then use pliers to bend the bent part. It saved me so much time and got rid of all the metal mess. I hang them on almost every door in my house. I did 7 or 8 of these in one night. With a hand saw for metal this would take about 7 hours. With wire cutters and pliers it took about three hours. They've only been up for two weeks and the owner is jumping for joy at the reduction in pests like shifters…

Pros
  • You can compensate for uneven gap dimensions with slotted screws.
Cons
  • socket required.
