Bird seed with larvae

This product (ABBA 1400 African Grey) has been shipped without vacuum packaging for about a year. Every time I receive this product I put it in an airtight container. To my surprise, I found larvae in my parrot seeds. That's disgusting! I would not take this food again unless it is tested and vacuum packed.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Good, but not great

VACUUM PACKING WAS DEFECTIVE

I've already bought it. MY COMPLAINT THAT THIS PURCHASE FROM "STOCK YOUR HOME” SELLER arrived with a broken vacuum seal and the food was not very fresh. My previous purchases from other sellers have always come tightly packed and stayed fresh to the bottom of the box.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Don't know

Healthy Bird Selection

I have three Gray Parrots and thought they would be an amazing selection of products. The birds were pickier. Of course, the seeds were eaten, but some other wonderful foods were ignored. I hope as I continue to offer ABBA they will consider more seeds, nuts and fruits. You also get organic pellets and fresh fruit and veg (no one likes green beans, everyone likes peppers, carrots, watermelons, apples, and grapes).

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time

Nothing special about birds

First of all, this seed bag was supposed to be vacuumed, but it didn't happen. Looks like he had a puncture somewhere on his journey. The seeds lie loose in the bag, but do not fall out of the small hole. When they stayed in the air for who knows how long, they dried up and didn't freshen up. Second, they are sold as specialty mixes only for Grays and Senegals, but they are no different than most other branded mixes. It's mostly sunflower and safflower seeds they love, but little else. Not…

I had higher expectations for this product.

The bag came vacuum packed, however the bag lost the vacuum overnight without bursting. Visually, this seed mixture is very unappetizing. Yes, there are chunks of papaya and sometimes kiwi, but the majority of the mix is sunflower and safflower seeds and is not of the highest quality. A black sunflower is like the one in a big bucket of wild bird seed, tiny, with a very small seed. To be fair, it was a plus that there wasn't much seed dust in the bag. Like many other CAG owners, I am looking…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Our gray parrot brings 5 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

My gray parrot is the pickiest eater! That said, she loves the ABBA 1400. Personally, she just prefers the 1400. Like I said, she can be tricky, haha. As long as I buy 1400 she is more than happy to eat it. To be honest I have never had any problems with this company. I keep half in a sealed bag in the freezer and the other half in the fridge. She doesn't like it straight from the freezer, haha. We highly recommend this company. All birds are different, but when we discovered this about 8 years

Pros
  • handy thing

  • so far so good

Some of the best seed mixes I've found

Arrived July 2020 and was perfectly vacuum packed. Freeze it for a few days before using it. Keep tightly sealed in a bag and store in a plastic tub for about a week to serve overnight. Looks very fresh and very clean. My 23 year old gray parrot is picky and is attracted to salt and sugar. He's also not a fan of things he hasn't seen or that look unusual. His breakfast plate consists only of the fresh fruits and vegetables he loves, plus the occasional new one if he gets to taste it. When he…
