Sharp edges so use caution when using on painted surfaces.

Bought these to remove an old faded 3M protective film from my car mirrors and they have worked great. I just sprayed them with Goof Off a few times to soften the film and immediately scraped off the stickers. These chisels are soft enough to protect the car's paintwork, but the corners are sharp and I removed some of the clear coat from the edges of the mirror by working too quickly. A bit of wax and my mirrors look great for the first time in years!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Upgrades

Actually better than I expected

Actually better than I expected. I am in the process of removing the plastic cover from the front and sides of my 40ft RV. I got these scrapers on the recommendation of someone who had the same job and I'm glad I followed his advice. The chisels are strong enough to remove the coating (mold has built up underneath over time) but they will not damage the motorhome's fiberglass finish. After much use. The blades will dull, but a few minutes of sharpening will restore their shape.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Periodicity

Worked well removing 3M automotive film

These chisels worked well removing 11 year old 3M film from the front of the hood of my 2006 Silverado. began to crack and accumulate dirt and generally did not look very good. Using these chisels in combination with a heat gun was a huge help. Removing old 3M films is a very difficult task. It took me four hours to remove the film from the front of my hood. These plastic chisels left no marks on the metal trim of my hood. I'm not sure I'll ever put 3M wrap on a car again. But I have to say…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Very versatile DIY tool for the home

I originally bought a set of these tools a few years ago because I was looking for a tool for scraping non-metallic materials. They are useful when you want to clean surfaces but not scratch them (like scraping wax off wood or scraping dried paint off a surface). Since the set was so cheap, I wasn't expecting much. I ended up having to buy a new set a few years later because others liked it so much that it was "stolen" from me one by one over the years! The best way to describe them is hard…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later
