So easy! Now I can charge my Tesla 3 from an unused dryer socket. The instructions were simple and the warnings (which to be honest I usually skimmed) were strategically placed (reduce charge boost in Tesla settings). I know nothing about electronics and their simple product listing charts have helped me easily match my point of sale to the right product. Increased from 4-5 mph from my 110th outlet to 20-21 mph. I'm so excited thank you so much!

30 amp line with NEMA 10-30 outlet. This solved the problem and our Model S loaded smoothly and almost as quickly (at 22 mph, not the 27-28 mph we got with the 50 amp NEMA 10-50 connection). We wish the split was a little easier - it's a very close connection.

This adapter works perfectly with our L2 40A EVSE portable charger. You don't have a Tesla to use this adapter if you have the right EV app and hardware. Do the right thing and consult an electrician before connecting anything if you have any questions or doubts. Converts NEMA 6-50 to NEMA 14-50 for 240V EVSE purposes. No part of it got hot (not outdoors) even on a hot day drawing 32 amps for 4 hours. This is a great adapter!

Has been working fine for about a month until this morning. Now it just makes a horrible cracking noise and then restarts. It doesn't load at all! I urgently had to order an adapter from Conntek (slightly cheaper). I will check this next time. I should mention that I always kept the charge level at 23 amps just in case. It really works! You don't have to buy an expensive charger if you have one of these and a spare dryer plug in your garage. The only thing to note is that you need to set your Tesla's charge limit to around 26 amps to avoid tripping the house circuit breaker, since the dryer plugs only draw 30 amps and the car is trying to shut down. This is NOT for Tesla, it's for EV chargers. 220V chargers require contact on both 110V poles, current must NOT flow but contact must be present. Here 220-110V RV adapters will not work with EV chargers. RVs leave the second post 110 blank (blank).
