Some reviews sounded like the key needs to be in to unlock/remove. That's not the case. It closes and opens normally, after which the key can be removed. I couldn't use the factory cable, but no one has stolen gas since I installed it. :-)

Perfect. I love that I don't have to walk into a dealership and hope or assume I'll buy something that will work or fit. Revain has my specific car make and age, so I only have to pick one. Always fits perfectly, no matter what I buy.

My manufacturer does not make locking gas caps for my car model and I have not been able to find them in dealerships. This ACDelco cap is durable and fits perfectly. Now I am sure that my cylinder is protected from unauthorized access and the gas in it is ALL mine.

It fits. Not once did the car warn me about the gas cap. This is exactly what I was looking for. The one I received is all black, not gray and black like the picture. I like the all black look better.

I bought this cover to replace an old one for my Lexus LS400. With the old cap, I didn't hear the hiss when opening to refill. With this new cap I can hear that sound. This actually pressurizes the fuel tank, preventing the gasoline from evaporating. It's good for the environment and increases mileage per gallon. Maybe not much, but the difference is visible.

Great locking gas cap for my 5th generation Camaro. I live in an apartment complex and didn't want anyone stealing gas or trying to put anything in the tank. Very good design and I have no check engine lights. This is a threaded gas cap, so it will take a little longer than the original cap. There is no way to attach the plastic retaining wire, so I just removed it. Overall this is a solid product and the best locking mechanism according to online reviews.

Perfect for my 2004 Hyundai Accent GT. However, this did not solve my check engine light problem, which I was hoping for. The locking mechanism is not what I expected although it works 100%. When locked, you can twist the cap however you like, just like a child-resistant bottle cap. Unlocking the lid with the key simply grabs the center of the lid, allowing you to apply torque to remove it. I was expecting the lock wouldn't even let you turn the lid. Pros: + Feels solid + Lock works 100% + Fits

UPDATE (07/01/2020): The key is more difficult to insert all the way into the lock to unlock it. I'll have to use Lock Lube in the morning to see if that helps. Oh yeah.
