Factory OEM unit in multi-channel amps

Installed on a 2003 Tahoe and fixed an intermittent issue where the stereo would not work and the alternator would whistle when the outside temperature was below 50 degrees. Factory OEM part and it arrived early. Very happy with the purchase.

Have a drill and drill bit up to 1/2 inch or so

I like the fact that this fixed the problem. It takes a little effort to access the part but be patient and it will all work out. I really like the smoothness. If I'm not mistaken this piece is now almost double the price just before Christmas. Great buy.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Negative is present

An exact replacement for my 2005 Suburb with a Bose system!

Do not remove the central board. Remove the rear cup holder, remove the storage box, pry the two standoff tabs to remove the amp, remove the two rear 7mm screws, drill 1/2 holes in the bracket to gain access, and remove the two front screws, slide them out from the back. . Work for twenty minutes.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Updates

Good buy good for cars and car electronics

I used it on a 2004 suburban Chevy. I love the quick delivery, easy repairs and I can hear my music again. I didn't like the high price and didn't want to remove the entire center console so after removing the plastic storage sheet I cut two holes in the metal frame to access the two front screws, removed the back panel and screwed one in. Metal tabs holding one of the back panel screws.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Save money with your own hands. - Car Audio

Speakers stopped working in my 2003 GMC Yukon. Did a quick search on the internet and found several posts saying the problem was probably with the amp. I searched for Revain and the drop down banner told me this amp is the correct replacement for my year/model. The part numbers didn't match, but it was correct. I found a video online explaining how to remove the center console and I jumped into it. It took hours but it worked and I didn't have to pay the dealer $1000 for it. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It worked like OEM

The radio tape recorder didn't work at all at times. This has been fixed, the bass is now also much better. I was also hoping and reading that it might help with some door related problems. As far as I can tell it hasn't affected this issue much, my problem must be elsewhere. Getting out was a real hassle, so I cut access holes in my car as I'd seen someone suggest, which made it easier to remove the old unit and put the new one back in. Just fix and keep riding my good old Yukon, it makes me…

No sound in your GM Bose stereo?

Here's the solution. Technically it is plug and play. However, if you have a Tahoe, Yukon, or Escalade, you must acquire it first. The instructions say to remove the seats and center console but I found a youtube video where someone drilled a few holes in the metal cover under the center console and above the booster to access 2 hidden screws. Super trouble, but GM is to blame. this amp is great! Note: The best way to tell if the amplifier is bad is to check if the doorbell is working. If the…

Fantastic Goods: Auto Electronics

Replaced the amplifier under the center console. I replaced it due to intermittent beeping from the radio and vehicle (e.g. doorbell or key in ignition). I bought a 7mm ratchet wrench from a local tool store which made the job 100x easier. Use a wrench on the two front screws (you'll have to grope for them and "blind" this part). The 7mm socket with extension perfectly matches the remaining two rear mounting screws. This method saved me from having to remove the entire center console, I only…

Pros
  • Multi-Channel Amplifier
Cons
  • Crumpled

My 17 year old Suburban's Bose amp eventually died, not uncommon for these cars (first shutdown and recovery, eventually failed completely, but with the rear end Entertainment system is still providing sound in the headsets, indicating an amplifier failure). Removing the old amp is required to verify part numbers. DO NOT skip this step! It is difficult to remove/replace - GM's instructions are to remove the entire center console. You CAN enter from the top by removing the cup holders, the…
