DO NOT BUY THESE ITEMS!

Initially installed they seemed fine but the bearings were noisier than the old ones they replaced in less than 5000 miles. I will ask for a full refund and buy another brand with better bearings. I would also like to point out that the photos show drum castings indicating they were made in Canada so I bought them, upon receipt of the parts the boxes were marked 'Made in China'. Stay away from ACDelco parts!

  • Reliability

Should have paid attention to the negative reviews!

At first sight the product appears to be of good quality. I installed this new drum/bearing in my car and immediately the bearing rumbled louder than the one it replaced. The hub nut has been tightened to the recommended torque. I decided to ride it for a while to see if it would get any better, but it didn't. I painted the drum so I couldn't give it back to Revane. Very surprised that AC Delco is selling such a poor quality product. I had to install a new bearing on a brand new drum which is…

I see them as bad BUT now I know what to avoid.

Okay, I see them as bad BUT now I know I could have avoided some of what happened. I had to replace the spindle and this drum. When I installed the new drum I forgot to sand the new axle a bit but to get the right finish I jammed this drum and when it came out the bearings fell apart and fell all over the place ending up as Scrap metal. I went to the store and was forced to buy a better brand and the seals seemed much better and this drum really fit. I think it was partly my fault but those…

Two of the three ordered were defective

First the good part of the review. Revain delivers them same day in my area. They will fit a 2003 Focus ZX3 rear drum. Everything looks identical to the original parts that I removed. The reason this review got 2 stars is because two of the three I ordered had defects. I first ordered a pair and one of them went out of round and made the car visibly wobble when braking or the handbrake even tightened a bit while driving. I ordered a header and when it arrived the bushing on the inside of the…

2 bought. One of them didn't fit.

Bought 2. One of them didn't fit the rear axle of a 2001 Ford Focus. It got stuck when installing and when removing the bearing fell apart. I tried putting the separate back of the bearing on both spindles with grease to see if it was my fault. It got stuck again and had to be removed by force. Conclusion, the inner diameter of the bearing is too small. I haven't tried the second drum yet. Upon closer inspection of the second drum I found that the bearing bore was also undersized AND the…

Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

It's junk straight out of the box.

Wheel bearings can be difficult. I wrongly assumed that the already poor reviews on these bearings were due to the complexity of wheel bearing assembly. I have literally installed hundreds of wheel bearings in my life. I now had the unfortunate circumstance of having a total of four of them available. I bought two, installed them and immediately they roared like they were already out of order. Despite my experience, I'll admit that this is my first time installing drum-proof wheel bearings, so…
