Genuine AC Delco part (not a fake)

This brand new OEM AC Delco Temperature Sensor (P/N 213-928) arrived on time and in AC Delco packaging. Note that on LT1 motors this is temperature. a sensor on the water pump that sends a signal to the PCM (also called the ECM).

Fixed hot start and other issues

Quality product. I had hot start problems and this sensor cured them. A faulty coolant temperature sensor sends incorrect engine temperature readings to the computer and causes many problems, especially when trying to restart a hot engine. Everything seems to be fixed.

Works Good!: Coolant Temp

I ordered this by mistake, I wanted one that fits in the side of the cylinder head instead. This is the one that goes next to the thermostat so the OBD2 system can read it. I never returned it and then I discovered (with a scan tool) that my OBD2 system in the truck thought the coolant was maxed out at 150, even though I had replaced a new AC Delco 195 thermostat (easy to do), and suddenly the computer shows the ideal temperature!

Fixed my startup problem!

On my 1986 Blazer I had trouble or no engine restart at operating temperature. This AC-Delco engine coolant temperature was the absolute solution to the problem. A faulty coolant temperature sensor tells the engine computer (ECM) that the engine is cold when the engine is actually warm or warm to operating temperature. Therefore, the ECM, which thinks the engine is cold, sends a too-rich fuel mixture to the injectors at start, causing the engine to overfill and causing starting problems. And…

Coolant Temperature Sensor - Helps control vehicle idle

Good replacement if you suspect it has gone bad. It is installed next to the thermostat and sends water temperature data to the car's computer. In the event of a malfunction, it will show cold or cold, resulting in a richer fuel supply, much like a choke trying to warm up the car, wasting fuel and causing a fast idle. If you're replacing this, you should probably replace your air charger, which does the same thing. The charger is a small electrical plug located above the air intake just after…

Great price on parts

Easy to install on a '98 Chevy 1500. The truck will have difficulty starting, idling fast, reversing, and if the problem worsens, it will stall when accelerating. half. I reglued the plastic case of the connector. But when the truck finally stopped on the road and wouldn't start, I replaced it. I managed to wiggle the plug and get the truck home. The new sensor arrived quickly. Changed when the engine was cold, coolant did not flow. The thread is covered. I connected my OBDII Bluetooth scanner…

Frustrating - Sensors

I'm at a point in my life where I'm trying to make better decisions, so I read reviews and messages from other customers to help me make a decision. Before I begin, to be honest, I have not called or emailed them about this issue. Why? That's a good question. I order this part; ACDelco 213-928 genuine GM universal temperature sensor. For the grand total: $16.01, so when I went to my son's school to install it and it didn't fit, great. I can't play with the return process so I had my son bring…

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Some Flaws

OEM identical to a 1991 Chevy 1500 Silverado 350 in fit and finish. For a while the truck started poorly. Sometimes I had to press the accelerator pedal to the floor to start driving, then I had to lift the pedal until the engine died. Recently it has started to stall quickly, but otherwise works fine. Finally, about a week ago, after warming up, it died as soon as I gave it some gas. By spinning the accelerator all the way I was able to restart it fairly easily, but fog (unburned gas) came…
