Enhance Performance & Durability with GM Genuine Parts 219-600 Secondary Air Injection Pump Check Valve Gasket Review

Good product. I replaced it after removing the secondary air tube so I could replace the rear row of spark plugs on a 4.6 liter Cadillac engine. After replacing this gasket, there will be no exhaust leak.

This gasket is required with AcDelco 12585797 to install the new secondary air check valve Model: AcDelco 214-2146 for GM 2.2L Ecotech engines. My particular model was a 2006 Chevy Cobalt LT 2.2L. Factory installed and working as expected with AcDelco.

I bought this seal to replace my old one. Since I'm going to be replacing these old parts, it's best to start over. I just don't quite understand how I convinced myself to buy what looks like compressed cardboard for $5. its size is half a dollar. Honestly I think more money was spent on the plastic bag than this piece that acdelco said. Part works, just do not like to pay a large amount.

Here's the deal. I checked it out when I received it and as far as I can tell it looks and feels good in every way. I found no problems with it, it was beautifully carved and just looked like a good product. But after getting it, I got it in case I need it when replacing the air check valve. Turns out I could have used the old one and didn't need it. I checked it and it fits perfectly on the end of the air check valve that goes to the outlet end, so I really don't see a problem or reason why it
