Junk! the first one i put in. The box looks pretty shabby but I installed it anyway but something was wrong with it due to a fall so I ordered a replacement when it arrived. Didn't even bother to take it out of the box because it was hanging inside the ACDelco Amazon boxes, even brother didn't put the store back, got one for the local parts store much better

Out of habit, I first looked for a used version of auto parts on Revain, this is already the second "used" product I bought and the part is actually absolutely brand new, but the box was very slightly damaged. I only paid $50 instead of $65 at Revain for this ACDelco 337-1018 Professional Starter for my 1997 Chevy K1500. Installation was easy and it worked like a charm, couldn't ask for better.

Good product. The only problem I had was that this new screw was VERY DIFFICULT to screw in because the screw pattern seemed a little off. It might have to do with alignment though, because I replaced it on an unbearably hot, sweaty day and admittedly struggled to see through the sweat and oil on my glasses lol. For starters this is advertised in the ACDelco catalog as a 9 speed direct drive starter. An 11 tooth gear starter is included which is very similar to the Remy model 96206 gear starter. This Delco part actually has a 'Remy' stamp next to the terminals but has a Delco part number 337-1018 sticker on it. It looks like Delco will be replacing this geared Remy model and not updating its catalogue. My 1998 Tahoe had a 9 tooth direct drive and used 4-5/16" stepped knurled screws next to the threads.

what i liked about it is that it was a lot bigger than the one that came on my 99 k1500 chevy 5, 7 liters was removed off-road vehicle. It seems much more powerful than the OEM but it has a bit of a higher pitched turning noise which sounds louder when the engine flywheel is spinning haha I no longer have dual cranks to start the engine.
