🔋 ACDelco Gold Starter Model 337-1078 Review

Even if Amazon says it doesn't suit my car, it does. like a glove! This device did not have a small tube hanging from the back of the motor housing. I just installed it so can't comment on the longevity of the unit yet, but it spins really fast and starts the engine right away! After realizing my starter was bad, this product saved the day! The price is great and the item works!

Mounting surface thickness on one side is less than 1/8 inch, which is MUCH thinner than the OEM starter (ie, it does NOT meet OEM specs). Works well. On Saturday the starter screeched, ordered one and on Monday he was at the entrance, on Tuesday it was changed. If you have an XJ that needs a new starter motor, even if you don't have mechanical tendencies, try replacing it yourself. Actually 2 nuts and 2 screws. No tire removal etc. (You must disconnect the battery to start work). Easiest starter I've ever changed. I always prefer buying new electrical components to refurbished ones, this one seems to work fine.

Thing is Made in China, 4 stars for fitting Threaded hole was not fully tapped, it is missing about a quarter inch for fixing but I used 2 extra washers There are more than enough threads to hold the starter in place, but you need to make sure both bolts on the starter are tight or the starting torque will crack or break the aluminum head(s). It literally fell to pieces in less than 3 months of use on my daily driver. (I work next door under six miles of easy driving). Revain's return window closed two and a half weeks ago. I bought this to replace an AutoZone starter that failed every year. At least AutoZone has a lifetime warranty and will always replace it. It didn't even last three months, which is sad. I've never had a single part break, usually it just stopped working. I'm just glad it didn't damage my flywheel or gearbox…

This starter works great. It seems to be of high quality and I could tell how fast it turns when I compare it to another jeep I have. Most importantly, this starter is about 3 inches longer than the Remy Reman I bought the same day it arrived via UPS. I bought a Remy because I needed a Jeep and didn't give this to ACDelco yet. When I got home it was in the garage. I compared them and the ACDelco was longer and better made, although of course I didn't take it apart. I complained to the parts…
