The valve opens, the valve closes.

This valve opens and closes like no other! The old valve was a bit clogged and was a no-brainer for my Subie to replace as it sits just above the engine in a '97 2.2. Absolutely perfect to replace the old one.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Without automatic control

Codes 3025 and 0420 reset!

I replaced the PCV and knock sensor on my 1999 2.2 liter Subaru and the trouble codes were cleared and I got rid of the emissions without changing the catalytic converter. Replacing this part is very easy. Before installation, I wrapped the threads with Teflon tape. The whole project (I also did the fuel filter) was done in an hour.

Pros
  • Stable Test Results
Cons
  • Updates

Incorrect - PCV Valves, Breathers & Accessories

This did not fit or work on my 2003 Impreza Outback Sport despite what the Amazon garage guide said. I needed a Subaru 11810AA040 which is on the engine block. I think it might be for turbo engines who knows but it didn't work on my car. The valve itself is well made and appears to be of good quality if it fits your machine, but now I have a small waste paperweight.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Oil doesn't burn anymore!

My wife's 2001 Subaru Forester ate a lot of oil. We bought it from an elderly couple who serviced it for an oil change every 3 months and didn't think they knew of a problem. I've read that replacing this part can alleviate the oil burning problem. Guess what? And so it was. It took less than 5 minutes and cost $5. I called to ask a price for the job and they quoted me $146. Amazing product for DIY enthusiasts.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Frequency

Doesn't fit OBW 2002 2.5L

Doesn't fit, period. It is meant to be connected from the side closer to the engine block, however the diameter of the threaded side is smaller than the diameter of the receiving connection, therefore NOT SUITABLE OBW 2002 2.5L! Yes, I've tried "accommodating" things with different hose diameters, but without threads it makes no sense. want OEM Subaru part https://www.amazon.com/Subaru-11810AA040-OEM-Replacement-Valve/dp/B00IGZRX1A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1495847426&sr=8-1&keywords=aa040+pcv%5C…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Negative impression
