I bought this to replace my stock gas cap and I knew local parts stores only sell cheap genetic caps so I bought OEM for a fraction of the price. I no longer smell petrol fumes when I get out of the car.

I had an evaporator code that sets the engine check indicator. The gas cap was a cheap attempt to solve the problem. Apparently the old lid had a bad seal. So far, so good. The check engine light is gone.

Says vented. My van closed twice while driving. Open the gas tank and there's a vapor lock. This cap said ventilated! It doesn't work, or it just doesn't work properly. The engine will not run out of fuel when using this cover. Now I have to try to find another cap or add a vent tube to the stuffed neck. Dissatisfied

I smelled gas and smoke coming out of my car every day and I did and brought everything I was told would help and everything I could thought it will help. I have a s14 Nissan 240sx. I decided to purchase an ACDelco GT195 gas cap instead of the cheaper ones sold at Revain.
