Description of ๐Ÿ”ง ACDelco MU1791 Fuel Pump and Level Sensor Module with Seals, Float, and Harness - GM Original Equipment

Designed with guide rods to retain proper alignment while reducing pinching. Include a reservoir and jet pump to prevent fuel pump starvation when the fuel level is low. Most strainers are placed inside the module to help reduce the chance of puncture. Acetyl plastic for good high-alcohol fuel tolerance. Electrical connections are designed to help eliminate high resistance due to vehicle vibration.

The mechanic couldn't tighten a screw and the car smelled of petrol

Works well for more than 6 months. I have a gas sensor in my 1999 Aurora. The mechanic couldn't tighten a screw and the car smelled like gas. He fixed it for free because it was his fault (hint: don't always blame the product). Now everything is in order.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Great for electric fuel pumps

I bought a cheaper one that only shows half a tank, this one I bought works amazing, a little more expensive but worth it even with a vapor gauge included, the other not, I'm happy. So this is my 2003 Buick Lesabre, my friend needs one in her Buick and she will buy another one๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Almost flawless. for spare parts

The fuel pump works perfectly, I no longer have any jerking during hard acceleration, no more rumble from the tank and no more intermittently increased start time, although I am disappointed that the fuel gauge for the gauge does not show any when refueling full tank on. This is an annoyance I will live with as I will not be returning to the tank to try to adjust (bend) the float rod. I would give 5 stars if the gauge says it's full, at most it would say about 7/8 full. I think the mostโ€ฆ

AC Delco pump parts missing

AC Delco fuel pump received today. Nowhere on the received pump is it stated that it was manufactured by AC Delco. Paid extra money for AC Delco but can't tell where it came from. It actually says AC Delco on the box. The tank pressure gauge attached to the pump says "Made in China". The original pump says "Made in Mexico". The box did not include the pigtail connector needed to connect the pump to the existing wiring harness. There was no fuel hose attached to the suction side of the pump orโ€ฆ

Fits perfectly! for electric fuel pump

I installed this fuel pump on a 2002 Olds Aurora. The biggest problem was getting the old one out. I put penetrating oil on the locking ring (a few days before) before attempting to move it. Using a brass rod (no spark) and a hammer, hit one side and then the other (counter-clockwise). Soon he will move. Lubricate the snap ring when reinstalling and it will be a lot easier. I had to change a connector (which comes with the kit) to match the connector on the pump. They give you barrel connectors

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
