🔧 Advanced Crossfire 6-Notch Removal Tool Review

Like many others, this spline tool barely fits on my Crossfire freehub. Upon further investigation with a couple of calipers, I found that the tool spline OD is 1.258" while my Crossfire hub is 1.252" OD, so no wonder that crap doesn't work! Tried filing splines but it's tool steel. The only option was to use a metal mill. Now fits like a glove.

I bought this puller for an ACS Crossfire 16 tooth freewheel. Either the groove diameter on this puller is too large or the circumference of the groove on my ratchet is too small. It doesn't fit into my free movement. Finally, I removed my ratchet, tensioned it slightly so some of the slots barely engaged, and my wife pressed it against the surface of the ratchet. I'm not happy with it and I don't know if others will have the same problem.

This product will work with ACS Crossfire Freewheel. However, it is made of brass, for what reason I can not explain. I don't know why a manufacturer would make such an instrument out of soft and easily damaged materials like brass, unless perhaps hoping to sell twice as much. The teeth on this thing were half round when I got it and I'm glad I don't have to use it very often.
