my homebrewing go to Homebrewing & Winemaking

I haven't had any issues with either of these seals but I've sorted out which bottles are suitable for my homebrewing, also I like cold activation, blue = time to drink a small craft beer!

Pros
  • Special
Cons
  • Neutral

Works perfectly! - Home brewing and winemaking

I love these caps. Very good for my home brew. The only complaint I have is that the picture shows blue and different colors while mine is all white. It would be nice if you could choose your color or get the bag in stock. But that's just aesthetics.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • There's a mistake

Good bottle caps. for brewing

I love this for my homebrew beer. A color change is a good indicator that the bottle is cold. This is particularly useful when the beer is constantly rotating in the fridge. Helps to know which ones are cold. Works well with capping rack.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • protection

My Favorite Homebrew Bottle Caps

These are some of my favorite homebrew bottle caps. I've bought several times because they close well on every type of 12oz bottle I've tried (short bottles, tall bottles, Guinness on tap). Cold-activated lids let you know when the drink is ready; However, they seem to heat up and cool down much quicker than a bottled beverage, which can be a little misleading.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Zero

Worked great! for brewing

These caps saved the day after a bad bottling situation. They work well as far as color changing goes. It's very easy to tell which ones are cold and which ones aren't. They are also of high quality. Each cover ran well, no lags, and the image was in the center of each cover. Very competitive prices, I found them for the same price as non oxygen barrier caps!

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Not the best

Color change minimal

Used them for bottling homemade moonshine. Thought it would be cool to give people a fun cap. The caps work fine. However, the color change was not as dramatic as in the photo. It changes from white to slightly blue and technically you can see the whole picture at all times. Maybe if I put them deep in an ice bath for a few days instead of just in the fridge? Overall excellent bang for the buck, they've been working. Just not as dramatic color change as I would like.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Something different for your next batch of homemade beers.

Do you need it? nope Funny novelty? Yes. Is it worth the price to make a little difference to your next batch of homebrew? I think so. I'll admit that if you take a few bottles from room temperature storage and put them in the fridge, they can come in handy. After a few hours, the bottles can feel cold even if the beer is not cold enough. I've found that the lids don't turn a dark blue tint until the beer does. It can also help you distinguish between different batches if you have several aging

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Frequency
