Wireless Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer with Pager by AcuRite 03168 Review

Twice worked very well. Stopped working for the third time. Now it reads 97 degrees too high and there is no way to recalibrate it. I still had one month of warranty left, so I submitted a customer support request through the AcuRite website. I received an automated email confirming my request and containing the ticket number. The company has never contacted me again and will not reply to my emails.

I like the alarm system of this thermometer. I often use it to make homemade yogurt. Also suitable for cooking meat or roasts at a certain temperature. I love this thermometer. just stick that sharp object into the thick part of the meat, set the desired temperature (or time) and you're good to go. The pager will sound when you reach the desired temperature. it is very easy to use. I never read the instructions, but I managed it without any problems. So you can either cook other foods or sit down and have a beer without having to constantly check on your meat. I like to set the temp 10 degrees lower than needed so I know I'm getting closer…

I read the instructions and realized that this is exactly what I needed, a meat thermometer. If you want to measure the temperature of the oven, use something else, otherwise you will destroy the sensor. The cable may be rated for the oven temperature, but the sensor itself is not. I bought this AcuRite product after using it 2 times here are the results: first time it works fine, the second time a month later there is no connection between the probe and the remote control, i check the batteries which were fully charged, i change and put new batteries in both the side sensor and the remote control.
