This is a bad product. When I plugged it into a USB 3.0 port, the device didn't even show up. I tried plugging it into a USB 2.0 port and it worked, except for the unbearably low USB 2 resolution (the best resolution is 800x600). I tested my USB 3.0 port with another device - it still works fine. I'm not sure what the problem is with this unit but it doesn't work so I would recommend buying elsewhere. If you follow the instructions that come with it. It will walk you through installing a graphics driver that will work with your monitor. I see a lot of negative comments about it not working. This product was detected as a camcorder on a Windows 10 PC and was not detected at all on the other two USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ports. Although the product was marketed as "No CD Required", the product came with a mini-disc. Thinking maybe it needed drivers after all, I put the CD in my computer and waited patiently.
