Great simple mobile base for a small shop

I bought this to use with my DeWalt planer. Installation was easy, no instructions were used but I referred to the schematics. It looks very similar to the Woodcraft base model I put together last weekend. It sits flat and fits the stand exactly as I expected. Moves well as I have a concrete floor. I've seen reviews that had issues with the reel lifter arms, but I think they may have overtightened the bolts. The block is easy to lift and feels solid and well made. I would recommend this for…

Bora, Bora ok Mobile base

Bora, Bora Very cool mobile base (I would call it Bora, Bora for fun). So, look, I have a table saw with a deck and a router that weighs about 400 pounds, yes! And the bad shop! I've been trying to be a handyman and trying to build my own mobile base, love Youtube! Wood is anything but flexible. I made several attempts because I'm a bad smart! Because I'm Wicked Smaart I gave up and the pros "Revain!" Ordered one that looked good. We've waited and waited "Not available from manufacturer" Ok…

Excellent quality and price. Now I'm a customer

Love surprises especially when they come in a box and boy was surprised by this Bora Portamate PM-1000. Well painted, good strong screws, fit quite intuitively, you can definitely see and feel the build quality. Even the threads I threaded into the 4 pieces they used were smooth and taut but easy to thread with my fingers. As someone who has been involved with nuts and bolts for 50 years it was a pleasure to put this unit together. I can't count the number of times I've bought products over the

Weight limit is grossly overstated

Bought a year and a half ago so I can move my new 28 lb band saw. The base is rated at 400 pounds. not even close. The cams used for lifting are made of thin material. I don't move the bandsaw very often, but it's a chore every time because by lowering the first wheel, you're essentially raising nearly the entire 280 pounds. The part of the cam that you press on with your foot is about 3/4 inch in diameter. If you don't wear shoes with very durable soles, they will hurt your foot. second…

I'm addicted to it! I bought 3 of these and they make my woodworking workshop easy to clean and organize. Surprisingly stable in the down position. Because the wheels are outside the perimeter of the base, the tool is more stable than if it were standing directly on the ground thanks to the sturdy feet it rests on. You have to be careful with the levers to raise and lower the wheels. . Although they are made of thick aluminium, they extend beyond the width of the base. I set mine to only turn…

Rule Converter for Stands and Mobile Stands

This mobile stand has made moving my table saw a dream. I share my tool room with a home gym, so I have to "park" my table saw when it's not in use. I had previously used a couple of side rollers which while better than nothing were cumbersome to move and maneuver and made me reluctant to pull the saw out unnecessarily. Having the entire device on wheels was a game changer. It's durable and easily adjustable. Once the cams are released to lower the base off the front wheels, it becomes very…

Well Done Terrible Instructions/Assembly Design

Basically I think it's a well made base. Although I haven't really gained any weight yet. I can't tell if it will live up to its 400-pound weight capacity. I think the weakest point will be the casters. You have to use a lot of force when using the cam levers to lower the base off the rollers onto the fixed supports. You knew this even though the roller studs are 10mm and all others are 6mm. However, the instructions and details are confusing. For example, one of the front wheel pivot pins is…
