Great for filters

Need a replacement filter and I like the oil free ones for the turbos in the car. Might go with another company that requires you to oil the filter but I like the dry look. Used AEM in other cars and this one is just as good. 2011 Flex EcoBoost

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Negative gift

Near or even better than K&N

Longtime K&N user (20+ years) on multiple vehicles. Stumbled across this one that looked similar and piqued curiosity. Bought one and am very satisfied. Filtering is comparable to K&N, there is no difference in HP. On the plus side, this filter can be easily washed and reused, unlike K&N filters that require a thorough cleaning and re-lubrication.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not sure

Reusable filter with lower filter capacity than standard paper filter

I bought this to avoid buying paper filters. It's nice to just vacuum and/or clean it up and throw it back. There is no additional performance benefit. This can be confirmed by independent tests. -1 star Fewer filter options. This can also be confirmed by independent tests. -1 star I don't live in harsh or dusty environments so I'm not too worried. If so, I highly recommend sticking with the paper filter and checking it regularly.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some small things

not that crappy white paper

wow i wish i could give this one more than 5 stars. Sometimes you find an exceptional product that performs better than expected. That's what *should* be built into cars, not that shitty piece of white paper. After replacing the air filter it was noticeable. Acceleration was so much better, it was crazy. Old air filter? Dirty but ok. I've had multiple cars and changed multiple air filters and have never experienced anything like this. I then changed the filter on a friend's car and experienced…

Just go and buy it now!

Well I am very pleased with the performance of the AEM Dry Flow Air Cleaner. I had a good quality Wix air filter in my 2015 Taurus SHO that had basically 72,000 miles on it. I wanted something less restrictive, but I didn't want to spend more than $300 on a cold air intake. I tune the AEM on Sunday afternoon, reset the trip computer and I'm averaging 25.2-25.3mpg, about 85% highway/15% city, and throttle response is vastly improved (still some turbo lag, but not by much terrible). I would…

Worth every penny Filter

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this filter and wasn't sure if there was an improvement. After driving about 500 miles with this filter, I decided to do as controlled a test as possible to compare the AEM DryFlow to the stock Fram paper filter. I had ridden about the same number of miles with the new Fram filter prior to installing the AEM filter, so all variables in my road text were kept to a minimum. The road test was done on the same track with both filters and I tried to be as…
