Updated: The seller sent a firmware update that solved the problem. Now files written with ac don't have duplicates when viewed in the Videos & Pictures menu, but they are not deleted, allowing my Mac to continue using the USB drive. Looks cheap but works almost perfectly. I had a downloaded file that I had edited in the DVD Fab program (for audio levels and trims) and it froze when I tried to play it, connected to a 5 year old TV. It was the first file I tried in the media player and it froze too. I edited the original file with a newer version of DVD Fab and played it in full. I have bought two of these devices. The first was purchased in May 2019 and used to play audio files. It worked when I bought a second similar device from AGPtek for video playback.
