Never bought a bluetooth dongle; All of my previous peripherals came with their own (usually proprietary) USB transceivers. It took about 20 minutes for Windows 7, this gadget and the BT keyboard to not only pair but stay that way through a power cycle. Now it works fine. The blinking blue light is annoyingly bright and distracting so I taped it on.

I had to fiddle around with the settings a bit because of the LINUX operating system, but it said it was LINUX compatible and it was. It connected every time with no issues, but I found it took 2 or 3 attempts to connect. After connecting everything worked perfectly. I am satisfied with the price and performance.

I don't understand why others have given this device less than 5*. I got mine, installed it on my Windows 7/64bit Toshiba laptop, then made sure the driver installed correctly. The next step was to select the Bluetooth device to use, and since I couldn't set it as the default device, I just clicked the icon and recognized my Bluetooth speaker as the preferred device. Works great. I wanted to add bluetooth to my desktop for my wireless headphones so I can watch videos on my computer while my son watches kids shows. I can't confirm the overall range as I was sitting within 10ft of my computer, but it works fine up close.

I'm sure this is the perfect Bluetooth device for most purposes. I used a serial connection to connect and update the settings as I need a specific baud rate (how often data is sent per second) but I kept getting an error trying to do it. I had another UC-06 bluetooth adapter and it was much easier to set up. If you don't need to do anything that technical then that's probably fine, but it didn't work for me.

I ordered 2 packs and none of them connect to my android via bluetooth. I have another one on the octoped system, it works fine. I've tried swapping both of the ones I bought here (not at the same time) in place of my original and neither connects. If anyone knows how to connect them please let me know. EDIT: After many tries, one started working, and later that night the other worked as well. Increase stars received.

I bought this device to connect a Bluetooth (Dual Shock 4) game controller to my Windows 10 system. It worked so well that I wanted to get a second DS4, but almost everyone on the internet said that the second DS4 should be connected using a USB cable since Windows Bluetooth cannot work with multiple controllers. I came across a video of a man connecting 4 DS4s to his computer so I crossed my fingers and ordered a second DS4. It paired easily and can now play two-player games with ease.

I bought this Bluetooth as my old one died. I plugged it into my Windows 10 PC and it took me a while to read and right after I was able to connect devices to my PC. I tried my headset and wiimotes and they synced as intended. I wasn't sure what to buy but found CSRv4.0 on the Windows 10 compatibility list so I decided to give it a try and buy it. I would recommend it to anyone for the price.
