Improved Acceleration

Adding a spacer definitely made an impact on acceleration and sounds cool. Haven't seen any improvement in gas mileage yet, but the truck has only done 2,000 miles.

I am neutral on this item

Installed on Tunrda 2010 5.7 liter. The spacer moved the air intake higher and I ended up trimming the engine cover to fit properly. The whistle is annoying, to say the least. But if you hear a whistle, you'll be reminded to slow down to save miles (so that's a plus?). I get an average of 14.7mpg, but I got that before installing it.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some defects

Waste of money on replacement parts

Don't waste your money I bought one for my Chevy truck that didn't work and I bought one for my 2014 Tundra that didn't work, waste of money. I thought maybe it was because my chevrolet was rock old but on the tundra I put the cold air intake on the same mark, no whistling like they said and it seems to have less low and mid range, it pulls away from my TRUCK. as quickly as possible

Pros
  • Handy part
Cons
  • Not the best

NO PROBLEMS HERE for fuel injection

I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE CUTTING THE ENGINE COVER! If you are looking for a miracle, look elsewhere. I always had (from day one) a spare K&N filter prior to installation, which has always worked fine for me. With this filter, I always noticed a slight "whistle" at certain speeds. Again, this is all BEFORE installing this Airaid. After installing Airaid, I warmed up my engine and then hit the road. For every man, including me, the first impulse is going to be to hit the damn pedal. Do this and you…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Damaged
