Failed with minimal usage

Update 1-25-19: Ratchet is junk. I've had it for 6 months, used it only very minimally and oiled it regularly, and it already stopped working. It already didn't have any power so I pre-loosened a bunch of bolts and tried to use this to run them out, but it wouldn't budge them. The ratchet spins freely, but you can hold it still with just your thumb and forefinger. I ended up turning those loose bolts out just with my fingers. Return/support period has ended. There is still a warranty on it I…

Pros
  • plenty of power
Cons
  • May not provide sufficient power for larger automotive tasks

Compact, nice good for me

Expensive but decently quiet. Purchased to backout the bolts once they are free. Also it cant tighten down too hard and strip things. The 35lb max is nice.

Pros
  • Quite
Cons
  • May not be able to handle complex mechanical work items

Exactly as Described

This tool is handy and it did the job exactly as I needed it. I had no problems using it and it's exactly as shown and described. Very honest and straight forward.

Pros
  • Nice ratchet. Tons of power. I use it almost every day. No problems.
Cons
  • May suffer from wear and tear over time

Very quiet! best in my review

Bought this for the guys in the paint shop, and I can't believe how quiet this is!The other ratchet is probably 3X the decibels.I'd buy it again.

Pros
  • I HAVE USED SEVERAL OF THE AIR CAT PRODUCTS, GOOD POWER AND QUIET
Cons
  • May be prone to slips and stripped bolts

Reliable,quiet,quick

After going through 3 generations of cordless tools and all the costs I decided to save wear and tear on the electric ratchet and keep it for interior and go back to air for undercar and under hood, very happy so far, stronger, smaller and faster than my Milwaukee brushless ratchet, no battery bs, consistent power and speed unlike cordless tools.

Pros
  • Nice air ratchet well worth the money.
Cons
  • May be more expensive than comparable ratchets

Best bang for the buck by far!

Aircat certainly made a great product with this one. I had a Mac 1/4 drive air ratchet that was very similar that I had to replace. I could have repaired the broken head for 60 bux but found this for just a little more. It gets the job done and the air control is much better. I have the 3/8 mini impact and am equally impressed with it. Aircat is my new best friend.

Pros
  • Air Ratchet: Ergonomic handle for the user's ultimate comfort
Cons
  • May not be able to match the speed and torque of electric ratchets

Great for the price

I use this almost everyday at work and am happy with it every time. I like the composite body that doesn't get cold, and think the trigger is far superior to the more common levers. The ratchet has plenty of torque to be effective and is small enough to get into tight spaces, it's a big time saver. With some larger sockets (9/16, 15mm, etc) the protective sleeve on the end of the ratchet keeps the socket from sitting securely on the anvil, but it stays well enough to get the job done or the…

Pros
  • I use it daily for tight spaces. Been a mechanic for 40 years
Cons
  • Not as versatile as other ratchet options on the market

Tough, built well, and quiet

I've been using this for the most part daily as an automotive mechanic and it works great! It's also quiet and has good power for being a 1/4" drive.

Pros
  • ‎Composite and Metal
Cons
  • May not be able to generate enough force for certain bolts and nuts

best air ratchet ive used in the heavy duty field

works great and quiet. great price and also light weight i am sold on air cat products worth every penny. May not provide enough torque for industrial applications!

Pros
  • ‎Powder Coated
Cons
  • May not provide enough torque for industrial applications

Needless to say I'm so far satisfied with the ratchet

As a technician with several years turning wrenches and recently purchasing the Aircat 1/2" impact, I thought I would give this a try. Needless to say I'm so far satisfied with the ratchet. It is light weight and very quiet when compared to snap on and matco. Parts seem to be available at the Aircat website if required. It's not much louder than an electric ratchet. Only concern would be that the housing is plastic, though light weight, I would be willing to pay extra for an aluminum bodied

Pros
  • item as advertised
Cons
  • May suffer damage if it accidentally falls to the ground

Well built quiet air ratchet

This is another quiet and durable aircat product that holds up well to a professional mechanics daily use. My only complaint with this ratchet is that the button is a little tough to push.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • May not be as user-friendly as other ratchets

Very quiet compaired to most 1/4 " air ratchets

It's a great value for the money, and a work horse. I would recommend, I purchased 2 of them for my shop. May not provide enough leverage for stubborn bolts and nuts!

Pros
  • Excellent air ratchet, nice a quiet too.
Cons
  • May not provide enough leverage for stubborn bolts and nuts

quite but not as strong as they say

really quite, but not as strong as they say, definitely not 45 ft lbs strong, my old IR composite 1/4 air ratchet is still stronger then this one, and it is smaller then this one too, but this one is over half price, and it is stronger then the snap-on one that i tried out, and did i say it was really quite, ha-ha, the ratchet mechanism is louder then the motor noise

Pros
  • ‎Electric
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with impact sockets

Worth the money but could be better

Being a full time toyota mechanic I actually enjoy using this aircat product the only down side i found was that the blow off exhaust vents are facing you so every time you use it in the engine bay you get a rush of air coming at you, is it a big deal? Not really but I would have much rathered it be like my snap on 3/8 air rachet which blow the air toward the head of the rachet and you can adjust its location but overall for the price its a good product and pretty quiet

Pros
  • Good price and work great
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand high levels of stress

Quieter air ratchet compared to most

I chose this air ratchet because it was said to be quieter running and easy on the ears. The handle is not as easy to squeeze with one or two fingers as you have to in tight areas, but I will get over it because does not sound as loud. it also has plenty of torque for a 1/4" air ratchet.

Pros
  • Very nice works awesome and quite and very strong
Cons
  • May be less precise than manually operated ratchets

Revainrating 5 out of 5

very reliable for my opinion

I bought this 1/4 inch drive air ratchet because it has a very low noise level, dependability and reasonable priced. It''s okay.

Pros
  • First AirCat tool. Quality is great. Is the most quiet 1/4 air ratchet I've ever used.
Cons
  • It's okay

Amazing, my new favorite tool.

This is my new favorite tool. Quiet and powerful. I work on and build cars for a living. It's a great addition to any tool kit. This is the complete opposite of the Aircat 805-HT, which I also have, and is also awesome, but really loud.

Pros
  • ‎Contact manufacturer
Cons
  • May be prone to slipping on smooth surfaces
