Above all. I don't want EVERYONE to be there.

First of all. I don't want EVERYONE around to hear that I'm about to start the car. When I put the key in and turn it on, wow, the shrill noise becomes deafening when I'm on the side of the car. Now after being in the tank for 2 years when I got under 1/4 tank it started to shake.

This is a perfect direct match.

So all the flaws of the original have been fixed, they are quiet and produce more power and flow than the 2003 Buick Lesabre. A wire harness is included for hookup if you have an old style like mine. I would recommend using dielectric grease when connecting this to prevent moisture from oxidizing the wires. The only complaint I have isn't with this device, it's GM, they make the hole that the FP goes through a little smaller than the device so be prepared to deal with fuel splatter. Other than…

Good quality pump at a much lower price than OEM

I installed this at a corner shop which took about 45 minutes. My car is a 2002 Cadillac Deville and luckily for me the pump is accessible via a portal panel in the trunk. Some Devilles may not have this option, requiring the fuel tank to be removed at a much higher labor cost. The mechanic said he needed to upgrade the electrical connector on the car to a newer version to match the one on the pump. He said the new connector is a design improvement. It was only installed 3 weeks ago but is…

Fuel gauge now working properly

Bought my son a nice Buick for his first car. Big and safe. But the fuel gauge stopped working, a common LeSabre problem. Swapped the whole block although the pump worked fine. The whole unit was cheaper than buying a fuel level assembly! One caveat: you need to replace a connector, and you need stripping and crimping tools. Step-by-step instructions were included and apparently the old connector was causing some problems. The fuel pump is very quiet and appears to be well made. My son got the…

The price is much better than the local parts store - there is a pump.

Much better price than local parts stores - Pump fits and works well. I had a problem with a new o-ring. I used the one that came with the kit, but it had a slightly larger internal diameter and didn't seat properly, resulting in a fuel leak. Had to remove the pump and reinstall with my original o-ring and all is good now. I also soldered all the new connections and applied heat shrink tubing as I'm not sure about using the supplied crimp type butt connectors. I can't really see the benefit of…

Great quality product for DIYers with a bit of skill.

Quality repair. Came with crimp butt connectors for the new wiring harness but I would recommend soldering the wires together and be sure to use heat shrink! The fuel pressure is restored and the sensor is finally correct. Good guide. CLEAN AREA OF ALL DEBRIS SUCH AS DIRT, SAND, RUST ETC. BEFORE REMOVING THE LOCKING RING. TO CLEAN! Keep in mind that the old one you remove may need to be cut with scissors to remove if it doesn't fit through the hole. It was faster to take the risk of deforming…
