Airtex Electric Fuel Pump E3992M for 1999 Chevy Blazer

This item is required for 1999 Blazer. It definitely comes with everything you need to replace it, including a new type of electrical connector. Just keep in mind that there are (x2) electrical connections and only (x1) to replace. If possible, do not cut off the wrong electrical plug. Also, new fuel line clamps are not included. They are considered part of the vehicle and can be reused.

  • Certified

Almost 5 Stars: Fuel Pumps and Accessories

This fuel pump works great and so is the hood price but when we put the tank on my '98 Chevrolet Blazer we have to adjust it like the old one was. , as this model or any other model that fits initially is facing the other way and your fuel line will not reach, so we are making small modifications to it so it is facing the right way. You just have to work on your imagination. In general the car starts fine, everything works, make sure you read the manual and connect the right cables. I would buy

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some little things

Don't rely on this pump. Has served 3 years and 6 months

The following is my opinion only. I had high hopes for this Airtex fuel pump. Good price, fast shipping and perfect fit but unless it is stored in a hard to reach place I don't recommend it. Replacing a fuel pump without a lift is a pain. This is my second Airtex device. Shipping comes first, then the pump becomes intermittent. It's getting louder, so you're stuck in some parking space. I would take it seriously if you want to count on years of service.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly torn

2000 Blazer Fuel Pump

Arrived in a few days (no payment required for rush shipping). Worked great (I also replaced the injector assembly at the same time). in very cold weather. Warning - this substitution is quite tricky. Drain as much gasoline as possible from the tank before emptying. Avoid damaging the plastic plug. Wiring requires a spliced connector to replace the poor OEM design (new wiring harness was included).

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

was 4 years and I had to exchange

the first few years it worked great but I've had it for 4 years now and the pump still works, but I just had to exchange it because the petrol delivery unit was on. The pump no longer works. the tank is always full. I replaced the pump with one of the most modern auto parts and could see what went wrong. There are two small metal pins that go where the float is attached that gives the signal for the fuel gauge. the worlds lost their friction against the block there and stopped sending a signal.

Fits well but doesn't last long

Pump received two stars for fit and finish but didn't last long. The pump failed after only 1.5 years and approximately 12,000 miles of use. In a conversation with my mechanic he also said that most of the Airtex pumps he has installed are also sent back for replacement within two years. Apparently they just aren't made to last forever. I first bought an Airtex pump because it was a lot cheaper compared to ACDelco or Delphi alternatives. This will also be the last time I buy an Airtex pumpโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Great price
