Description of 🌬️ Airthings 2950 Wave Radon: Accurate Smart Radon Detector with Humidity & Temperature Sensor – No Lab Fees – Battery Operated - Free App

RADON DETECTOR: Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and kills more than 6x the number of people than home fires and carbon monoxide poisoning combined. CONTINUOUS MONITORING: Radon gas fluctuates daily and is highly dependent on many factors such as weather conditions. Long-term monitoring is crucial to take control, understand long-term exposure and minimize potential health effects. EASY TO USE: Simply wave in front of the monitor to get a color-coded visual indication of the air quality (Green, Yellow, Red) or connect to the App to get detailed results. NO LAB FEES: Get both long and short term radon results straight to your smartphone via Bluetooth and easily generate a radon report through the Airthings Dashboard. FOR EVERY HOME: A battery-powered, smart radon detector which monitors radon gas all year round as well as humidity and temperature. CONNECTED: Airthings Wave 2nd Generation has Smartlink functionality, meaning it can connect to the Airthings Hub to bring your data online 24/7.

Disappointing! Best in Home Sensors & Alarms

I've found that it only streams from the device to my phone (and then to the cloud) when I'm in range, but I didn't notice that the device apparently cannot store data for more than a few days at a time. I have a hard time syncing it to my phone without swinging it around and sometimes I have to turn it upside down before it syncs. But lots of data is missing if I forget to force sync every day or two. This is bad design and I also question the accuracy of the data based on wild swings in radon

More difficult than it was worth

I can't say anything about the accuracy of fit, I returned it after 2 days. I can say that I did not like the design. Only having a color display on the device was disappointing. I want a reader for that money. And the app only shows 48-hour averages for radon, humidity, and temperature. It might take some time to move the dot on the chart, but it took quite a long time. I wish there was a place where I could easily read right away. Also, I didn't realize that it takes a full 7 days before you…

Doesn't work with Google Assistant

The ALL reason I bought this product over cheaper products was because it had a hub and was supposed to work with Google Assistant. So far (after several hours of trying) this doesn't seem to work. According to their website (which influenced my purchase decision) they should only respond to things like "check radon levels in the basement". That does not work. Every time I try to do something I have to say "Talk to AirThings". -- then (every time) I get a three-sentence introduction and have to

Discrepancy between units

I bought 3 Airthings Gen2 units - to make sure they were all 'accurate' I installed them all in the same room - 2-4 inches apart . Your stated values are extremely "doubtful". Only the temperature is roughly the same and the humidity very similar, but the radon levels range from <0.3 to 8.2. * Refurb1 - new unit packaging damaged * Refurb2 - previously used like new - comes with original battery, original undamaged packaging etc. * Brand1 - brand new unit. UPDATE: 1 week later 2 REFURBs show

hard to sync best in the home Sensors and alarms

Not sure if this wave of 2nd gen Airthings worked or not. Setup was incredibly easy. The application is simple and easy to use. The problem is to sync this application with the device. Sometimes it syncs and says "Updated" and sometimes it says "12 hours ago" or "The day before". Manually pressing sync sometimes works, but sometimes nothing. If you go to the charts and sync there, then it syncs, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the chart fills but the main window doesn't update. It looks like…
