Meets part specs

I can't rate it 5 stars until it shows after about 100,000 miles. Other than that, it's a perfect match for my son's non-turbo 2009 Subaru Impreza 2.5i.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Worn out after 30,000

I bought it 30,000 km ago. Was changed as part of a timing belt change. It's bad now. Do not tighten the belt. Causes a knock. But it's Japanese, so I took another one. Hope this one lasts longer.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Easy maintainability

Super nice. Bought after installing a cheap brand.

Super nice. Bought after I installed a cheap brand that immediately tipped over wildly and made a knocking noise. This worked perfectly as expected from the OEM.

Pros
  • Certificate GOLS
Cons
  • I say nothing

Even better OE!

This part has the same bearing and hydraulic piston as the original I replaced (numbers match). However, the casting is nicer, with fewer rough edges and apparently higher-quality aluminum. Exactly what I expected from the company that made the automatic transmission in my 1990 Volvo (300,000 miles with fluid changes alone).

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Happy with it - Engine parts

cheaper than OE and in OE quality. Said it was made in Japan. What more can you ask for? Well, you should replace the tensioner at any sign of a leak because if you don't you'll have to take it apart again when it starts making noise. To see any oil at all while you're there, just do it. And one of my cars had a Chinese tensioner that worked but started leaking and only had 40,000 miles on it. I had to replace the water pump anyway so I changed both that and the horrible transfer case.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
