Review on AISIN BTF 500 Timing Belt Tensioner by Lucas Salgado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Happy with it - Engine parts

cheaper than OE and in OE quality. Said it was made in Japan. What more can you ask for? Well, you should replace the tensioner at any sign of a leak because if you don't you'll have to take it apart again when it starts making noise. To see any oil at all while you're there, just do it. And one of my cars had a Chinese tensioner that worked but started leaking and only had 40,000 miles on it. I had to replace the water pump anyway so I changed both that and the horrible transfer case.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
