Not for me. but i tried.

looks great and works well! The green wire proved tough for me. But after receiving everything is fine. 08/19/2020 I have a problem with it. It runs hotter than before and it overheated me. So I don't think this fan is rated for the Arizona heat. I removed it and reinstalled the factory fan and everything was back to normal. This fan should cool as well or better than the factory fan, but it doesn't.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Great product for fans and parts

Installation was pretty easy. I ended up hooking it up to the fuse box in the engine bay where there was room for a relay, not a separate one. I noticed that the coolant temperature dropped by about 10°. I also replaced the failed radiator, water pump and thermostat housing at the same time. It can get a bit noisy while driving. I plugged it in to force it but haven't installed a kill switch yet. In general very satisfied.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Frequency

Take a spare relay with

Easy installation and good cooling, if it works I have a defective relay. I've installed other relays alongside this one and they've been fine, so it's not the weather or the environment. I swapped the relay for a better one and had no problems. I've ridden about 10,000 miles in various driving conditions as well as off-road since installation, apart from an issue with the relay it has worked well to keep the engine cold. It's very loud, making it difficult to listen in the car or at the bank.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some defects

Great modification to my TJ

I installed this kit on my 2003 TJ, the overall installation was simple and straightforward. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the instructions say "no drilling required" but that's not entirely true. The four mounting brackets were pre-drilled in the wrong place where the shroud will mount directly to the existing holes as they were 1-1/2 inches apart so I had to re-drill the four brackets which isn't a big deal. Overall, the fan is VERY quiet and I've lowered the operating…

easy install everything fits well

My 13 year old son did the physical install and everything went great while I did the wiring. The only problem was that we couldn't install the new electric thermostat without removing the thermostat housing. This was normal because I was already planning on replacing the mechanical thermostat, so I had a new gasket. If I didn't already have this gasket I would have to go to the parts store to get one and I would be very upset that I couldn't finish the installation until I drove into town the…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

I work first. in Fan

Professionally installed on my 2001 TJ by a shop who knows auto electrics, Summer of 2019. Trying to cope with Arizona rush hours and traffic and to cool down an AC Jeep in the summer . I was skeptical about the reliability of the engine but decided to give it a try. Worked great but after about 6 months the relay blew and the Jeep overheated in the winter months. Replaced the relay and it lasted about 30 days before it happened again. Brought it back to the store. The diagnosis was that the…

Pros
  • Excellent Construction

Wow! What a fan! 1990 Jeep Wrangler 2.5 liter

Great fan, very easy to install once you know the basic wiring. Even if you don't, they provide detailed installation instructions and everything you need. I had two small problems. The lower right bracket needs to be lifted slightly. If you can install this fan you can quickly measure it and drill some new holes in the fan housing. Not so hot what's up. The other major issue I had was the fan switch and my aftermarket coolant sensor in the adapter housing making contact. Screwing in the jeep's

Pros
  • good stuff

  • good but not great

Great update for fans

Just installed it on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ. 1) The fan is quiet 2) The included hardware is good except I upgraded the fairing bracket hardware with stainless steel screws (looks better) 3) The fairing assembly has a pristine powder coat finish that outperforms other products on the market. 4) The fan has a protector (some other fans on the market don't have one) 5) The motor temperature fluctuates around 205F6) The design of the thermostat is much better than the capillary design. Probes…

The best fan on the market!

I installed this fan on my 97 2.5L tj. The kit comes with everything you need for installation, although I used some extra parts to secure the wires and hide them a little better. First the bottom bracket on the passenger side needs to be pulled out a bit to fit the bolt hole in the radiator as others have said. The kit includes a 50A switch which I installed next to the airbox on the inner wing structure. Make sure you read the label on it, one side is labeled Battery and the other is labeled…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
