Part of the OEM name for a part of the cost from the dealer.

I bought a pair of these for my 2012 Camry and they both work perfectly. I just installed this one and another one I installed about a year ago and they both work fine. Installation is pretty easy with just a few tools. If you're thinking of installing them yourself, give it a try because it's not that bad and will save you a lot of money.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Non-OEM quality part

So you're probably looking to save some money and that's why you're reading this. I appraised genuine parts and it was $255 apiece for a 2008 Highlander. I've tried cheaper CN knockoffs from $30-$40 and they were awful - didn't fit, door stuck, plastic cover broke easily. Needless to say they are rubbish (I tried two different ones). I chose this one as it was average compared to the OEM. It went in easily and I had no problems. It was installed for about a month.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great alternative to OEM

I've fitted a lot of these as my last 3 cars have been Toyotas. The dealer is asking around $600 for parts + labor which is insane. It's not the easiest setup, but it's not hard science either. The only special tool I needed was a sprocket and I already had the right size one. It's much easier with 2 people or if you have 3 hands. I've done this a few times all by myself (Toyotas again and their faulty door lock actuators) - go to YouTube and watch a video of how to do this for your particular…

Great replacement driver's door Lexus ES 2014!

The Lexus dealership charged $351 for the same item and about $500 for installation. Since the car is no longer under factory warranty, I watched a few YouTube videos on replacement and decided to try it myself. I found this actuator at Revain who claimed to be an exact replacement for the car so I ordered it. When it arrived I placed it next to a remote factory unit and it was from the same manufacturer and physically identical. It installed without any modifications and worked flawlessly. If…

Exact OEM, fairly easy DIY

This is the "exact" part that Toyota charges $360 for. (+$250 for labor). I installed it myself in under an hour and saved about $500. Pretty easy to install I'd say, even if I'm a bit mechanically inclined; but there are a few not-so-obvious key steps to keep in mind. (For example, make sure the door opener bar is reinserted into this part so that the door opens from the outside and the locking mechanism is in the same condition, otherwise the key will not work). Just take your time and pay…

Pros
  • Rugged build
Cons
  • Non-automatic
