Great replacement water pump

I used this Aisin water pump (made in Japan) on my previous timing belt on a 2008 Subaru Forester X and currently 60k. Recommend this item for half the price of a Subaru part

Damaged seal, pump OK

Water pump looks good but the seal was damaged in the box, possibly from the manufacturer. Cannot be installed until gasket is replaced.

Pump is great for water pump

but the gasket is thrown in the box with the pump. It arrived damaged and unusable. But no problem, I'll just buy another pad for a few bucks. The pump itself is exactly the same as original Volvo pumps.

Same pump as OEM Volvo, only brand Volvo polished

Same pump as the original Volvo only marked Volvo so it can be sold as an Aisin pump. Don't mess with other aftermarket pumps. This pump also has an updated cam mechanism.

Possibly defective seal

Volvo independent dealer installed these for my XC70 along with the timing belt, pulleys and tensioner service. After about two days I noticed a slight drop in coolant level from the reservoir. I checked for leaks under the car but couldn't find anything so I just filled it up. Two weeks later I get a warning on the dash saying low coolant so I take it back to the mechanic for a day and he finds that the gasket has dried out somehow which in turn is causing coolant to run out of the area out of

The ONLY pump to consider with NO:

This should be the ONLY pump to consider when replacing a pump in your Volvo. This is an OEM Volvo with "VOLVO" defaced. Other brands of pumps have been known to fail, causing serious problems with your timing belt and all too often catastrophic engine failures. There are two things you need to know before you buy: Buy a separate pad, even if it comes with one. It comes unprotected in a water pump box and has a high chance of being damaged on arrival.
