drilled a hole before the bit came loose from the octagonal locking socket

uses a new bit to drill a pilot hole in a piece of teak before screwing another piece. Partially cut the second pilot hole and drill bit and then rotated freely in the base, when I tried to rotate the drill bit out of the hole the base came loose from the drill bit and we had to remove the drill bit from the wood with a small channel lock pliers. These things are nothing more than garbage. I would not recommend anyone to buy them, friend or foe.

Avoid: breakage after 4 uses

Using an M6 drill bit, successfully tapped 4 holes into the extruded center holes on 2040 aluminum T-slot rails. Halfway through the fifth hole, I bent down to pick something up off the ground and banged on the faucet handle. I didn't hit him with a sledgehammer or put my full weight on him. just hit him gently with his well-stuffed shoulder and the teeth broke. I used cutting oil if that matters. Apologies for the poor picture quality, but you can see that this product is definitely not madeโ€ฆ

Did the job but I took my time and had a backup plan

Bit 8Mx1.25 suited me and did the job. Best $12.99 I could spend to drill and tap damaged threads on a car. I took my time (manually) to slowly let the beat do its work. Once the bit was solid, I moved the bit back and forth to loosen and remove the shavings. After passing, I gave up the beat with no problem. I threaded it with a matching threaded bolt and then an auto part. There were two places on the threaded portion of the drill where the drill had broken off. Both missing parts were on the
