Grade: A- in brake pads

Bought these for my 2009 Lexus gs350. My brakes were squealing like crazy. I bought these BCs, read reviews that these do not creak and do not bite much. It's been over a year since I've had them and they started squeaking slightly again. Only on startup and shutdown. As soon as the car starts moving, the creaking disappears. In general I am satisfied with the purchase, very good brakes and a good bite.

  • Decent performance

Works great on a 2015 RC 350 F Sport

Installed on a 2015 Lexus RC 350 F Sport and what a difference in braking. The factory upholstery lasted 34,000 miles, but the dust was terrible. After 100 km until there is no more dust and these pads do not bite. I have 10,000 left on the butts and I will use Akebono on the butts if needed. The installation took about 20 minutes per wheel, including cleaning the wheel, niche, suspension and brakes. No need to spend hundreds at the dealer, it's too easy. Enjoy

Very good OEM replacement but missing hardware

Car: 2015 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport Everything is fine after the initial installation. No noise and dime stops. Saw Akebono pads are recommended in more than a few places as a good aftermarket replacement for original pads. My only gripe is that some of the other options come with swappable hardware, while Akebono doesn't. They only come with pads and a tiny spot of grease. To be honest the package of grease they give you is not enough to lubricate the seal plates. The OEM pads only lasted 32,000…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Some cons

Akebono very little dust and easy to install. I love that they come with a brake lube package. However, they have lower braking performance than the 04465-30510 Advics (Pad material: PV565H) supplied by the OEM with the vehicle and the low-dust version. I have to step harder on the brake pads to stop the car. I wanted to try something new but I think I'll use the original pads when they run out. The OEM pads just bit better and the dust was manageable.

Brakes squeak VERY loudly at slow speeds

Bought these for my 2013 Lexus GS350 thinking they would be the perfect replacement for my worn out OE brake pads. I clearly made a terrible decision to buy them, after installing the pads and overhauling the rotors the first week of riding everything was fine with the brakes, quiet and good pedal feel. Then it slowly began to creak. It got louder and louder every day, now after 3 weeks every time the pads are cold like in the morning the pads just squeak super loud when braking at slow speed…

Amazing brake feel in the pads

Bought these for my Lexus 06 IS350 and I knew I needed to replace the pads and discs immediately. I read a lot of good reviews on the forum about these seals and decided to give it a try. It is easy to assemble and the pads look very high quality. I was blown away by first impressions, the grip is noticeable, but what really blew me away was how good the brakes felt under hard braking. They stop the car amazingly. I know that if I hit the brakes at 60-0 I'll stop within 3 seconds, those brakes…

Pros
  • Tested for a year
Cons
  • Low repairability

Clean but not that quiet

I have a 2015 Lexus GS350 RWD F Sport. On the one hand, they are in no way inferior to the original pads when it comes to brakes, but bite a little less. I did find myself pressing the pedal a little harder than I was used to, but nothing outrageous. I bought them to reduce brake dust. You did amazing. The first few days of these breaks were great, they were quiet. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. In the summer they're silent until they're warm, but after that, from 10 to 0 mph, an…
