Good price for pads

In my opinion they are as good if not better than BMW pads. They fit perfectly and don't dust like the OEM ones. how long will they last Too early to tell as I just changed the rear wheels on my X3 about a month ago.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Great value for quality pads

Replaced an old set of aging Akebono pads that were making noise when reversing in my BMW 330ci. Installing new pads was easy. A new copper anti-seize paste and dielectric grease was used to lubricate the cam guides. The noise is gone and the brakes work great. Dust exposure is minimal. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Empty

But as expected. best braking system

Passed as expected. I really want companies to supply the anti-squeak compound that you really need. The compound is applied to the back of the metal opposite the pad. Depending on what you use, it will take anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hours to cure. If you don't use it, the noise will get bad. So these gummies fit really well, but they can go an extra inch and provide a connection.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Excellent pads, no creaking

Excellent pads, no creaking, very little dust, definitely less than stock. Used on 08 X3. Lubricate with CRC and you're done. **UPDATE** I checked these brakes after 15,000 miles and thought I might need to replace them as I drive like a madman and I couldn't believe they were only 1/8 inch. These are by far the highest quality pads your money can buy and honestly there is no reason to pay more for pads.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

It is NOT recommended to do so

7 year old master BMW dealer. Bought them for my car. A bit tight on cash so I didn't buy new rotors (the old ones are slightly above spec but have a slight advantage. Doing it this way is NOT recommended). Braking ability on the flat. Just a little louder than expected. However, I am willing to bet that the noise is more than 70% better if I change rotors. Damn good product for the money. Before that I had a set of ceramics on the back that lasted 100k in hard city traffic (now remember I…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from the testers
Cons
  • Exchange availability

I've been using Akebono pads on one of my BMWs since an enthusiast friend recommended them. They retain excellent brake feel while being much cleaner than BMW pads. Depending on the wheels on your trip, this can save you a lot of time detailing your car. I recently did the front and rear of my 2001 740i Sport (they are for the rear) along with new rotors all around and hubs up front. A note: My front pads came with a high-temp grease pack, but my rear pads didn't. Maybe overlooked the factory…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Vulgarity
