The product was easy to install. The plastic straps of the saddle tore after 1 year. Now I need to replace with another solution. My trailer and kayaks are stored in the garage so the sun wasn't an issue. I would think twice before buying this product for trailer kyaks.

This company is very easy to deal with. I ordered the saddles and they don't fit my roof bars because I measured wrong. I was able to rebuild it to fit and didn't send it back. The company gave me a discount and everyone was happy. By the way, the seats are great.

They hold my kayak pretty well. One of the saddles has a pin that comes off very easily so I have to put it back in every time I use it. There's also no real way to block them, so risk your good kayak if you go where there are horrible people, which is pretty much everywhere these days.

Not the best work, some parts need to be adjusted with pliers. Some of the pins holding the parts together at the joints failed during shipping. This can cause your kayak to hit the pavement. I have to go back but I hate dealing with this process. I will replace the loose pins with screws. I think I can safely make use of it. More Chinese junk.

I built a double kayak carrier for my van and installed 4 of them. According to others U-bolts will rust, and I used a screw to hold them in place. Plastic nuts break or loosen and get lost. Bought to modify my kayak trailer. So far they've worked great. Better than expected. I was able to use the included hardware with my trailer, but I don't think the hardware will work with my roof rack (the brackets are too narrow). I was thrilled to receive this set to accommodate my new kayak but was disappointed to find upon opening the box that the clips for attaching the saddles to your crossbar do not fit if your bar too wide is 1 1/2 inches. My crossbars are pretty standard from what I've seen, and they're 2" wide. I can't find any reference to this measurement requirement anywhere in the description. No time to order a replacement, so I had to run to Cabela to get one Get another set of J-Bars, return them.
