They're good for pet food, 1/8 cup a chinchilla should eat a day so these scoops are good for that.

I bought these because I have a measured and measured meal plan. Upon opening the package, they seemed too small, so I compared them to another 1/8 cup measure and a tablespoon. Yes, they're a little under 1/8 cup, about 1/2 T smaller, and Revane says they're non-refundable. Useless to me.

After all these good reviews I was surprised when I got mine today and just found it gross. They are very poorly made. All three stainless steel blades have black spots, streaks, white scratches and/or dents. However, I have hand washed and dried them with white paper towels and high pressure and no discoloration or coating has transferred to the paper towels so they seem safe to use. But if I had known they were so poorly made I would never have bought them.

I find these scoops to be well made, easy to clean and durable. I have tested their volume with a standard set of measuring spoons and they are very accurate and precise. I usually run my finger over it after scooping coffee to even it out; If there are no gaps, that's exactly 3 tablespoons, which is the right amount for two 6-ounce cups of coffee (a 12-ounce mug).
