Waste of money on embedding guns

specify the job. All this tool did was push the water out of the solution. I tried mixing the grout in different ways and the result wasn't always the same. He squeezed out the water and compacted the mortar in the pipe. I've never managed to get the solution to flow out of the appropriate tip. I haven't tried a solution to be honest, but I think I'd get the same results. I would advise spending money on proper hand tools and getting your point across the old fashioned way. Luckily I already…

I really wanted this to work

This equipment was purchased to assist in the application of SpecMix putty on a new 1.5 story brick fronted home. The first attempt on the test page failed. We started by mixing the mortar to a consistency suitable for grouting. The gun jammed before the mortar was even in place. We then mixed up successive small batches, making each successive batch looser or wetter. Only when the mortar became so loose that it seeped between the bricks did the gun continue to work without clogging. To…

Pros
  • piston adjustable for wear and no leaks. The legendary double grips and steel trigger ensure increased reliability.
Cons
  • Not sure

This mortar gun works great!

This well-made gun delivers enough pressure to evenly control the flow of solution. My application is grouting horizontal floors between variable porosity handcrafted terracotta tiles that are quite difficult to clean from the contrasting color of the grout so the standard pour and scrape technique leaves a terrible cleaning job. This works great to fill the seams with just enough extra material to gently compress and leave minimal mess on the surface. Although my grout varies from 3/8" to 3/4"

Pros
  • Handy rotating trolley for moving around corners. Easily disassembled for cleaning and storage.
Cons
  • Don't remind me
